Vegan Burger with Violife Slices with Mature Cheddar Flavour

Directions

Wash and peel the potatoes, cut into small cubes and boil for 15 minutes until soft. Once they’re soft, drain them, add a dash of olive oil, and mash in a bowl. Meanwhile, heat a little olive oil in a frying pan, and sauté the leeks, carrots onion and garlic until they’re slightly soft. Remove the pan from the heat, and stir in the basil and thyme.

In a large bowl add the veggie mix along with a little olive oil, salt and pepper to the potatoes and mix them together by hand into a lovely dough-like mix. Form into 4 patties and sauté gently on a medium heat in a little olive oil.

Lightly toast or grill your burger buns, then spread with a little barbecue sauce. Then stack the lettuce, tomato, your patty topped with a few Violife slices with mature cheddar flavour and crown with a few rings of onions and any leftover herbs. Delicious!

4 burger buns

3 large potatoes

2 carrots, grated

1 leek sliced

1 onion, chopped

1 garlic clove, chopped

4 lettuce leaves

2 sliced tomatoes

Fresh basil and thyme, chopped

Vegan barbecue sauce

Olive oil

Salt & pepper
